Welcome to AstroSite. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, and protected when using the AstroSite mobile application.

Location Information

AstroSite may request access to your device's location to accurately display celestial objects and provide augmented reality sky viewing features.

Please note that location information (precise or approximate) is collected by our servers only when you use the printable star chart feature. This information is transmitted securely over HTTPS and stored securely.

Outside of the printable star chart feature, your location is not collected or shared and is processed only locally on your device.

Camera Access

Camera permission may be required for augmented reality features. Camera data is processed locally on your device and is never recorded or stored by AstroSite.

How We Use Information

Information may be used to:

• Provide astronomy-related features.
• Respond to support requests and feedback.
• Improve the application's functionality.

Third-Party Services

AstroSite may use third-party services, including Google Play Services, Apple App Store Services, NASA APIs, and other astronomy data providers.

NASA APODs and AVODs require a valid internet connection to be displayed.

All data transmitted between the application and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure).

Data Sharing

AstroSite does not sell personal information. Information may only be shared when required by law, to provide application functionality, or to protect legal rights.

Data Security

Reasonable security measures are implemented to protect information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

AstroSite is intended for general audiences.

Personal information from children is not knowingly collected or shared, except when using the printable star chart feature, which includes the latitude and longitude coordinates of the selected location. This information is also described in the Information You Provide section above.

Community Sightings

For your security, please do not share your precise location, sensitive information, or unrelated, harassing, inappropriate, or racist content in Community Sightings. Any submission containing such content may be rejected by the administration before being made public.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time without prior notice. The latest version will always be made available within the application or on the official AstroSite website. Continued use of AstroSite constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

AstroSite grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the application for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Paid Application

AstroSite is a paid application.

Application Features

User Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the application.
• Copy, redistribute, or resell the application without authorization.
• Use the application for unlawful purposes.
• Interfere with the application's services.
• Share inappropriate, offensive, illegal, or unrelated content in the moderated Community Sightings feature.

If you violate these Terms, AstroSite reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access and to pursue any legal remedies available under applicable law.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all application software, branding, graphics, designs, and other original content are the intellectual property of the developer and are protected under Lebanese copyright law and other applicable intellectual property laws.

Third-Party Content

Some content is provided by third-party sources, including NASA and other astronomy data providers.

Bug Fixes

Although we strive to provide a reliable application and will make reasonable efforts to fix reported bugs, AstroSite is provided as-is. The existence of software bugs does not create any obligation for compensation beyond any rights you may have under applicable law.

Disclaimer of Warranties

AstroSite is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or relating to the use of AstroSite.

NASA Disclaimer

AstroSite is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NASA. NASA data is used in accordance with its public availability and applicable terms.

These Terms of Use may be updated periodically without prior notice. Continued use of AstroSite after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
